Volunteer Opportunities

We have several volunteer opportunities available. Choose the opportunities that match your interests:

  • Attend a volunteer session.
  • Drive to local schools to deliver birthday bags, hygiene kits and snack bags.
  • Create handmade birthday cards for children pre-K to 12th grade.
  • Organize a collection drive for essential supplies.
  • Assist with general fundraising efforts.
  • Represent Bridge of Hearts at local events.
  • Serve as a school district liaison, working with school counselors.
  • Support marketing and public relations for Bridge of Hearts.
  • Contribute to grant writing efforts.
  • Join the board or participate in board activities.

Volunteer Sessions

Volunteer sessions are held at 355 South Broad Street, Mooresville, NC and consist of putting together snack bags, hygiene kits and making birthday bags.

Youth volunteers must be accompanied by an adult and be at least 6 years old. A licensed driver, at age 16, can volunteer without an adult chaperone. Adults can chaperone up to four children or all of their own children.

Our Programs

Caring For Children

This program provides hygiene kits and bags of healthy snacks to children in need. School counselors also distribute go bags to children who are housing insecure. Go bags include a pillow, pillowcase, blanket, socks, hygiene items, and healthy snacks.

Celebrating Birthdays

The Celebrating Birthdays program provides gifts, books, a family celebration kit and a
handwritten card to ensure every needy child can experience joy on their birthday no matter the circumstances they and their family face.

Caring For Babies

The Caring for Babies program provides homeless and impoverished middle and high
school mothers with nursery items for their babies.
